Chair-based Yoga

imageChair-based or Seated Yoga allows people recovering from injuries/illnesses, or with mobility issues, disabilities or age-related issues, to practise yoga. I use the same concepts and poses as Vinyasa Yoga and translate them to make them accessible to all. It increases flexibility, range of movement, strength and balance, as well as offering breathing and meditation to reduce stress and tension and encourage improved sleep.

Here’s a short film to give you an idea of what to expect from a Chair-based Yoga class – with thanks to the wonderful Horspath Seated Yogi’s!

Practising at home

We have made three short films that you can access online to allow you to practise a chair-based class at home. You will need a password to access the films, which is available on request from me.
