About me

Alison Partridge

I have been practising and studying yoga for over 20 years, and in March 2014 trained to teach yoga with Yoga London. I have subsequently trained and practised with many wonderful teachers, including Sarah Powers, Micheal Stone, Doug Keller, Mathew Sandford, Sherry Zak Morris, Alessandro Gozzi and most recently, Karin Carlson. I have taught many different kinds of yoga, including Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga and Chair-based Yoga. I am registered with Yoga Alliance.

I have spent most of my career working in social care. Yoga offered and continues to offer me a framework for my life, and includes a commitment to ensuring my practise and teaching is inclusive, and relevant to the global challenges we face, including those of social justice and environmental crisis.

I am keen to take  yoga to people who might think they ‘can’t do yoga’. I believe that yoga should be for everyone and everyone can benefit from it – whether looking to increase physical strength, flexibility, and balance; to de-clutter busy minds; to rebalance emotionally; to open more deeply to personal authenticity; to find stillness, presence and a route to deeper meditation and/or to explore the rich philosophical legacy the practises offer.

I teach classes, workshops, retreats, private 1:1’s and friendship/family groups of varying sorts,  and I am registered with Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Yoga Teacher.
